Well lots have happen since last post, in the end of November I had an obstructed bowl, and had to have an emerg. operation and they removed 3 inches of my bowl. I had to stay in the hospital for 7 days, , I was afraid I was going to miss my granddaughters birth, however she was born strong and healthy on December 18, Her name is Kaylor Michelle Garner, she looks a lot like her mom, and dad combined. They are such a cute family, I am so proud of the care they have taken care of each other.. just before the start of the new year My incision, opened up due to a pocket in my surg. I had to pack it for a few weeks, and at this time, I am still slowly still recovering from this last surg. I don't know why this is taking longer to recover..

Today I went to go and pick my Cloe' up (my puppy) she was spaded yesterday, and had her dew claw cut out, she is doing very well, I was afraid she would be in a lot of pain, but seems to be holding up great, of course it is close to bedtime. So we will see. This week has been a topsy turvy week, I took a stress test, and thought since I hadn't heard anything last week all was well, but this week, they finally got en-touch and now I have to see a cardiologist, we will see. Also my gp think I may have a peptic ulcer, so I am taking massive antibiotic, which is yucky, not to mention, that I just got off a two week set of them for a sinus infection.. Tired of medicine. Would not be a good drug addict.
Good new, Jerry's Job is going well, he seems to love it.. White collar to blue collar, is sometime difficult.. he was a bit sore the first few weeks seems to be getting the hang of it.. Finally have the travel trailer perm settled in a mobile home park, WITH elec., Yeah.. Only took, 2 weeks. Central, permits.. all taken care of. Also, we have been living off of half of Jerry's retirement, we recieved word that May we should be receiving full retirement check. Good news. Life is going well, I am looking for a new house in Baton Rouge, and hoping to sell our home in Ville Platte, I will probably have to put it with a real estate agent. It doesnt seem to be doing well with for sale by owner.. Would love to be able to take advantage of low interest rate, well life is busy so this will be short.. Nine is healing well since surgery or shoulder, steve also is doing well since shoulder surgery, My great nephew and great niece are at the prom tonite, it is hard to believe that Austin, Christy's son is graduating this year and will be going to college soon. and that Lauren Elaine, daughter is also graduating this year and also is going to college soon, so proud of both of them..

My First Blog on this new Start of our life of Retirement

December was quite a milestone in our life. Jerry retired, we were getting ready for Tim to Marry the Love of his life, and We realized that retirement wasn't all it was cut out to be.. Lots of big decissions. First we knew life would be a bit tight with finances but we had prepared for that, paid off all bills, then found out retirement was cut in half, because gov't offered PO early retirement, and used part of others retirement to help them retire.. So big bump in the road.. So for 3 to 6 months we have to live off of not half of what we are use to living with but now half of that.. okay.. We had saving. Plan ahead, I always say.. We really hadn't planned on Poor Jerry having to go to work so soon after retiring but Now it was very necessary. After he tried, several avenues, he had a win fall, and was able to go to work with his brother, as a welder. Kinda back to where he was when I first met him. Problem was job is an hour and a half from where we live, so he had to stay with his brother for a few weeks. This of course could only be a temporary fix, so we started looking for travel trailers, perfect fix. If necessary he could put it anywhere, right? Wrong.. Well right off we found the perfect travel trailer, right price, put our paper work in to get money out of savings, just as we are about to get the trailer, the people we are getting it from change their mind. I was so upset, I still think they found someone who offered more money, because we had asked if they would take 500 less and they agreed, but everything happens for a reason. You would not believe the trouble we had getting our money, out of our saving account, first they didn't get both papers faxed, twice, then they couldn't read, the notory stamp. Then finally in between all of this we found the perfect 5th wheel, its so cute, and clean, it was a little more expensive, but I think in the long run it will be better, it doesn't need new tires, or new tanks, and the other things the other trailer needed, and it came with a bit of a warranity. So we get the trailer, get it moved to the brothers yard, then find out, you can't keep travel trailers set up on private property in this city because of city codes. So Now we have to find a place to put it in a moble home park. Piece of cake huh? No Most of the mobile home parks in this city don't allow travel trailers. Finally found one, have to set it up and can only stay for 6 months, so hopefully we can find a permanant home soon, and sell our house here.. So far this has been quite a ride.. Retirement.. The Plus has been I have a new Daughter in law who makes my son very happy.. and she is very sweet, and if they are happy I am happy.. I am sure all will work out, great..
